Overview
The OS Giken SP Single Steel SuperSingle Clutch Kit is a 215 mm dampened single-plate performance clutch and flywheel package for rear-wheel-drive Toyota AE86 models equipped with the 1.6L 4A-GE engine family.
Designed for factory-power and lightly tuned applications, the SuperSingle combines a full-face metallic friction disc with a hardened steel-alloy flywheel. The single-disc configuration provides responsive engagement while OS Giken's diaphragm-spring leverage design helps achieve increased clamping force without unnecessarily heavy pedal effort.
The kit also includes an OS release sleeve assembly. An OEM-style pilot bearing or bushing is required for installation.

SP Single Steel Construction
The SP Single Steel system uses a full-face metallic friction disc to provide increased torque capacity while retaining a single-plate configuration. Its clutch-cover leverage mechanism increases the effective clamping load while allowing the diaphragm spring to remain manageable for street-driven applications.
The clutch housing incorporates ventilation openings to help manage heat and evacuate friction material dust. The clutch housing and flywheel receive heat treatment for durability, while the hardened steel-alloy flywheel provides predictable engine response and durability under performance use.
