Overview

The OS Giken TS2A Twin Plate Clutch Kit is a performance clutch and flywheel system for 4A-GE-powered Toyota AE86 applications, including the JDM Corolla Levin and Sprinter Trueno as well as the U.S.-market Corolla Sport GT-S.

The TS2A uses two compact 184 mm heat-treated alloy clutch discs with a stamped-steel clutch cover to provide approximately 350 lb-ft of torque capacity while maintaining manageable engagement and pedal effort. Its smaller-diameter twin-disc design is particularly well suited to modified naturally aspirated and supercharged 4A-GE builds where responsive engine operation is a priority.

A matched flywheel is included with the clutch assembly. Installation requires the dedicated OS Giken AE86 TS2A/S release sleeve assembly, which can be purchased with the clutch through the available bundle configuration.

TS2A Twin-Plate Design

The TS2A uses two smaller-diameter clutch discs rather than a conventional single-disc arrangement. The additional friction surface increases torque capacity, while the compact 184 mm disc diameter helps reduce rotating inertia for quicker engine response.

This makes the TS2A particularly well suited to high-revving naturally aspirated 4A-GE builds and supercharged applications that require substantially greater capacity than an OE-style or performance single-disc clutch.

For turbocharged or substantially higher-output builds approaching or exceeding the TS2A's approximate 350 lb-ft capacity, the OS Giken TS2B Twin Plate Clutch Kit provides greater torque capacity with larger 204 mm twin discs.
