Overview

The OS Giken TS2B Twin Plate Clutch Kit is a high-capacity performance clutch and flywheel system for 4A-GE-powered Toyota AE86 applications, including the JDM Corolla Levin and Sprinter Trueno as well as the U.S.-market Corolla Sport GT-S.

Its twin-disc design uses two 204 mm heat-treated alloy clutch discs and is rated for approximately 500 lb-ft of torque. The stamped-steel clutch cover balances substantial holding capacity with manageable pedal effort, making the TS2B particularly well suited to turbocharged, supercharged, competition, and other high-output 4A-GE builds.

A matched flywheel is included as part of the system, creating a coordinated clutch and flywheel assembly rather than requiring the factory flywheel to be reused.

TS2B Twin-Plate Design

Using two clutch discs increases the available friction surface area while keeping the clutch assembly compact. This allows the TS2B to handle substantially greater torque than a conventional single-disc street clutch while maintaining responsive engine operation.

The TS2B is the logical choice for AE86 builds that have moved beyond the capacity of an OE-style or upgraded single-disc clutch. For stock and lightly modified naturally aspirated cars, a single-disc clutch may provide better value and more factory-like operation. The TS2B is intended for builds where increased torque capacity, durability, and performance use justify a twin-disc system.
