Overview

This Preserve Rad Original driver-side A/C vent is an OEM-style replacement for the factory corner dash vent used in 1984–1989 1st Gen Toyota 4Runners and 1984–1988 2nd Gen Toyota Pickups. The vent is 3D-printed from durable ABS plastic and retains the factory-style directional louvers and dashboard appearance.

Two dashboard configurations were used across these applications. The 1984–1986 option fits the early / long-pocket dash, while the 1987–1989 option fits the late / short-pocket dash. If the dashboard has ever been replaced or swapped, use the installed dash pocket style as the final fitment check.

Early vs. Late Dash Styles

1987–1989 Variant – Late / Short-Pocket Dash

• Original late-style driver-side vent configuration
• Used with the short storage pocket positioned above the center vents
• Applies through 1989 for 4Runner and through 1988 for Pickup

If the dashboard has been replaced or swapped, select the vent according to the installed pocket style rather than the vehicle model year alone.

Completing the Dashboard Vent Restoration

The driver-side vent can be replaced by itself, while the complete set and matching center or passenger vents are useful when multiple dashboard vents need restoration. Complete A/C Vent Set — replace the center and corner vents together. Center / Middle A/C Vent — matching center-dash vent. Passenger A/C Vent — matching passenger-side corner vent.
