Overview

This Preserve Rad Original complete A/C vent set replaces the factory dashboard vents used in 1984–1989 1st Gen Toyota 4Runners and 1984–1988 2nd Gen Toyota Pickups. The vent assemblies are 3D-printed from durable ABS plastic and retain the factory-style directional louvers and dashboard appearance.

Two dash configurations were used across these applications. The 1984–1986 option fits the early / long-pocket dash, while the 1987–1989 option fits the late / short-pocket dash. If the dashboard has ever been replaced or swapped, use the installed dash pocket style as the final fitment check.

Early vs. Late Dash Styles

1984–1986 Variant – Early / Long-Pocket Dash

• Original early-style dashboard vent configuration
• Passenger-side storage pocket extends from the center vent area toward the passenger-side vent

1987–1989 Variant – Late / Short-Pocket Dash

• Original late-style dashboard vent configuration
• Small storage pocket is positioned above the center vents
• Applies through 1989 for 4Runner and through 1988 for Pickup

If the dashboard has been replaced or swapped, select the vent set according to the installed pocket style rather than the vehicle model year alone.

Fitment Notes

• 1984–1986 variant: early / long-pocket dash style
• 1987–1989 variant: late / short-pocket dash style
• For the 1987–1989 variant, Toyota Pickup fitment ends at 1988.
• Use the installed dash pocket style as the final fitment check on vehicles with a replaced or swapped dashboard.
• Aftermarket dash caps must be removed before installation.

Individual A/C Vent Replacements

The complete vent set is intended for dashboards needing all visible vent assemblies replaced together. If only one vent is damaged, the matching individual replacements are available separately. Driver Side A/C Vent — individual driver-side corner vent replacement. Center / Middle A/C Vent — individual center-dash vent replacement. Passenger A/C Vent — individual passenger-side corner vent replacement.
