Overview
The 3D-Printed OEM-Style Driver / Corner A/C Vent is a direct-fit replacement for the factory driver-side dashboard vent used in 1984–1989 1st Gen Toyota 4Runners and 1984–1988 2nd Gen Toyota Pickups.
Original vents commonly become brittle, cracked, faded, or develop loose internal louvers that no longer hold the selected airflow direction. This replacement uses durable ABS plastic, reinforced construction, and a redesigned internal structure to improve longevity and airflow control while maintaining the original-style appearance.
Toyota used two different dashboard and vent configurations during these years. The correct vent must be selected according to the installed dash pocket style rather than vehicle model year alone.

Dash Style Identification
Toyota used two different dashboard configurations that require different driver-side vent styles.
Early Style – Long Pocket Dash
- Commonly associated with 1984–1986-style dashboards
- Passenger-side storage pocket extends from the center vent area toward the passenger vent
- Select this version whenever the installed dashboard has the long pocket, regardless of vehicle model year
Late Style – Short Pocket Dash
- Commonly associated with 1987–1989-style dashboards
- Small storage pocket is located only above the two center vents
- Select this version whenever the installed dashboard has the short pocket, regardless of vehicle model year
If the dashboard has been replaced or swapped, select the vent according to the installed dash configuration rather than the vehicle's model year.
