Overview

The Project Kics Racing Composite R40 Lug Nut & Lock Set is a lightweight 20-piece wheel-hardware set for Toyota Corolla AE86 and MR2 AW11 applications using M12×1.5 studs and aftermarket wheels with 60° conical lug seats. AE86 coverage includes the USDM Corolla Sport SR5, USDM Corolla Sport GT-S, and JDM Corolla Levin / Sprinter Trueno.

Each R40 lug nut uses a forged SCM435 chromoly-steel body with a free-floating A7075-T6 aluminum taper collar. The collar remains seated against the wheel as the nut is tightened, helping center the fastener while reducing rotational contact against the wheel seat.

Fitment Notes

• For aftermarket wheels using a true 60° conical / tapered lug seat.
• Requires M12×1.5 wheel studs.
• Not intended for factory wheels that use a flat, mag/shank, ball/radius, or other non-conical seat.
• Does not fit wheels requiring inverted lug nuts.
• The open-ended design accommodates standard and extended wheel studs.
• AE86 and AW11 use four wheel studs per wheel. Using one lock per wheel requires 12 standard nuts plus 4 locks, leaving 4 standard nuts as spares.
• Verify the wheel-seat design and stud thread before installation on vehicles with wheel, hub, or stud conversions.
