Toyota OEM Differential Breather Cap
For 1984–1995 Toyota 4Runner, 1979–1995 Toyota Pickup, 1983–1987 Toyota Corolla AE86 and 1984–1986 Toyota MR2 AW11 with four-speed automatic transmission, equipped with the original axle or differential-cover breather locations listed below.
Overview
This genuine Toyota cap replaces a damaged, corroded or blocked factory breather at the axle-housing or differential-cover vent. It retains the original-position arrangement rather than relocating the vent through a hose.
How many do you need? 2WD trucks and RWD cars require one breather cap, while 4WD trucks require two, one for the front differential and one for the rear.
Key Features
- Genuine Toyota replacement: A factory-style service part for the original vent location.
- Complete cap: Spring-flapper cap and threaded base supplied as one unit.
- Clear quantity choices: One cap individually or two identical caps together.

Fitment Notes
- Original factory housings and the specified vent locations only. Axle swaps, modified housings and remote-breather plumbing require separate identification.
- Each location uses one cap. Pair services front and rear locations on supported 4WD trucks; it does not establish a second location on 2WD trucks, AE86 or AW11.
- AW11 fitment is limited to the early automatic differential-cover port and the production intervals above. It is not a replacement for the separate transmission-case breather, and later automatic or manual MR2 coverage is not included.
- Not an AE92 SR5 or GT-S coupe application.
- This stock-position cap is not a raised vent system or a waterproofing upgrade. No hoses, adapters, relocation manifold, transmission-breather set or transfer-case breather is included.

Factory Replacement or Raised Venting?
Toyota Factory Breather Cap — Best for restoring an original vent
Choose this cap when the original-position part is damaged, corroded or blocked. A sound existing cap does not need replacement simply to change brands.
ARB Differential Breather Kit — Best for relocating supported truck axle vents
The separate ARB system routes the supported 4WD truck axle vents to a raised common outlet. It is not included with this cap, and that link does not establish AE86 or AW11 fitment.
