Overview

The Prothane Front Sway Bar & End Link Bushing Kit replaces worn factory rubber front stabilizer-bar mounting and end-link bushings on 1984–1989 1st Gen Toyota 4Runner 4WD models. Two diameter-specific configurations are available for trucks equipped with either a 19mm or 23mm factory-style front sway bar.

Polyurethane provides a firmer, more durable connection than aged rubber and helps reduce unwanted bushing deflection at the sway bar mounts and end links. The correct diameter must match the installed sway bar.

Choosing the Correct Sway Bar Diameter

Measure the installed front sway bar before ordering. The 19mm and 23mm frame bushings are diameter-specific and are not interchangeable.

• 19mm: approximately 0.75 in
• 23mm: approximately 0.91 in

Measure a clean, straight section of the sway bar with calipers for the most reliable result.
