Overview

The HKS Hi-Power 409 Cat-Back Exhaust System is a performance exhaust for Toyota AE86 applications using the factory-style rear exhaust route. The system combines a straight-through muffler design with 60mm center piping and an over-differential layout.

The exhaust piping is constructed from SUH409 stainless steel, while the visible rear silencer and exhaust tip use SUS304 stainless steel. Advantex continuous-fiber glass wool is used inside the silencer to control exhaust sound while retaining a straight-through performance-oriented design.

Exhaust Design & Sound

The Hi-Power 409 uses an over-differential layout designed around the AE86 rear exhaust routing. The 60mm center pipe feeds a straight-through round silencer and exits through a 94mm tip for a more aggressive appearance and exhaust note.
