Developed by HKS Japan, this complete cat-back exhaust combines motorsports-inspired engineering with everyday drivability, making it an ideal choice for restorations, street builds, and period-correct performance projects.
Inspired by HKS's endurance and GT racing programs, the Hi-Power 409 features a straight-through muffler, mandrel-bent 60mm piping, and an over-differential exhaust layout that minimizes exhaust restriction while maintaining excellent ground clearance and factory-like fitment. The free-flowing design promotes improved exhaust velocity, better throttle response, and increased high-RPM performance compared to the restrictive factory exhaust system.
Originally engineered for 4A-GE DOHC-equipped AE86 models, this exhaust system is also compatible with SR5 models equipped with the 4A-C engine. While fitment is supported on both applications, the system was specifically designed and acoustically tuned around the 4A-GE platform.
