Overview
The HKS Sport Muffler Exhaust System is a vehicle-specific performance exhaust designed for the classic rear-wheel-drive Toyota AE86 chassis. Exhaust Design & Sound
The center pipe passes above the rear differential before connecting to the main muffler and 83 mm outlet. This over-differential layout keeps the exhaust routed closely to the original AE86 chassis configuration.
HKS describes its street-oriented Legal exhaust line as delivering a sporty but controlled sound while reducing exhaust backpressure compared with the factory muffler. HKS publishes approximately 150 mm of minimum exhaust-to-road clearance, with the measurement based primarily on a vehicle using stock suspension.

Both the HKS Sport Muffler Exhaust System and HKS Hi-Power Stainless Steel Cat-Back Exhaust System are performance exhaust upgrades for the 1983–1987 Toyota Corolla Levin / Sprinter Trueno AE86, but they are designed for slightly different preferences in sound, appearance, and street use.
Choose the HKS Sport Muffler if you want a more refined and street-friendly exhaust. It uses 60mm piping with a smaller 83mm exhaust tip and has an HKS-rated close-proximity sound level of 92 dB.
