Overview

The Fidanza Aluminum Flywheel pairs an aluminum body with a replaceable steel friction surface for the supercharged MK1 MR2.

Reduced rotating mass gives quicker engine response, while low-speed clutch engagement can feel less forgiving than with a heavier flywheel.

Fitment Notes

• Does not fit original 4A-GE naturally aspirated AW11 clutch assemblies, factory AE86 4A-GE 200 mm clutch assemblies, or automatic transmissions.
• Excludes the later 230 mm clutch configuration in AE92 Supercharged from 10/1990 production and AE101 Supercharged.
• Factory-application fitment does not establish compatibility for engine, transaxle or clutch conversions.
• Replacement friction inserts have 18- or 20-fastener patterns; the replacement must match the flywheel's existing insert pattern.

For the 1988–1989 U.S.-Market MR2 Supercharged, the EXEDY Stage 1 Organic Clutch Kit is an optional matching clutch. The flywheel is sold separately from the clutch.
