Overview

The Bilstein B6 4600 Rear Shock is a direct-fit monotube shock absorber for stock-height Toyota 4Runner applications. Its high-pressure gas design and velocity-sensitive digressive valving provide consistent damping control for daily driving, highway use, towing, gravel roads, and light off-road use without changing spring height.

Two different rear shock applications are used across the 1984–1995 4Runner range. The 1984–1989 1st Gen application uses an eye-to-eye mounting arrangement, while the 1990–1995 2nd Gen application uses a stem upper mount and eye lower mount. The two applications are not interchangeable.
