AISIN Stock Replacement Clutch Kit

For 1985–1989 Toyota MR2 AW11 equipped with naturally aspirated 4A-GE engines, manual transmissions and the matching 212 mm clutch system.

Overview

This AISIN clutch kit renews the friction and release components of the later 212 mm clutch system in naturally aspirated U.S.-Market 1985–1989 Toyota MR2 AW11 models from 06/1985 production. The organic sprung disc and diaphragm pressure plate provide a conventional stock-replacement clutch arrangement for road use.

The clutch disc, pressure plate and flywheel must form a matching system. Early cars originally fitted with a 200 mm clutch require a matched conversion; changing the disc alone does not establish fitment.

Fitment Notes

• Does not fit the original early 200 mm clutch/flywheel combination, factory supercharged 4A-GZE / E51 applications or automatic transmissions.
• Modified cars require a matching flywheel, clutch and release arrangement. A model year or transmission code alone does not establish fitment after a conversion.
• This transaxle application does not use a pilot bearing.
• A new side-gear-shaft snap ring is required only if that shaft is extracted; it is not a universal clutch-kit installation item.
• The flywheel and mounting bolts are not included. The ARP 4A-GE Flywheel Bolt Kit is an optional fastener upgrade when servicing the flywheel; it is not required with every clutch replacement.
