Overview
The KONI Sport front strut insert is a rebound-adjustable twin-tube damper for rear-wheel-drive Toyota AE86 front suspension applications. It installs inside a compatible serviceable factory-style MacPherson strut housing while retaining the original front suspension architecture.
For a street, restomod, spirited-driving, or occasional autocross AE86, the adjustable rebound design gives the driver more control over how the damper works with the chosen spring. KONI Sport is particularly well suited to performance lowering springs and mildly lowered enthusiast setups where tuning flexibility is valuable.

Fitment Notes
- Front application only.
- For rear-wheel-drive AE86 applications; not intended for front-wheel-drive Corolla chassis.
- This is a strut insert and requires reuse of a compatible serviceable front strut housing.
- The same insert fits the left and right front; two inserts are required to service both front corners.
- Mild lowering-spring setups are a strong use case for KONI Sport, provided suspension travel and housing geometry remain appropriate.
- Aggressively lowered cars, shortened strut housings, or heavily modified suspension setups should use a damper length and valving package matched to the final suspension geometry.
