Overview

The Bilstein B6 Performance front strut insert is a monotube gas-pressure damper upgrade for the rear-wheel-drive Toyota AE86 front suspension. It installs as a cartridge inside the factory-style front strut housing and is designed primarily around OE-height, OE-style spring applications.

Its fixed, application-specific damping makes the B6 a strong fit for drivers who want sharper body control, excellent consistency during sustained hard use, and a set-it-and-forget-it suspension upgrade without external adjustment.

Fitment Notes

• Front application only.
• Installs as a cartridge inside a compatible factory-style serviceable front strut housing.
• The same insert is used on the left and right front; two inserts are required to service both front corners.
• The B6 is primarily designed around stock-height / OE-style spring applications. Mild lowering can be workable when suspension travel remains appropriate, but spring rate and available stroke should be considered as a complete system.
• Aggressively lowered or shortened-strut AE86 builds should use a damper length and valving package matched to the modified suspension geometry.
