WIX Automatic Transmission Filter Kit

For 1985–1995 Toyota 4Runner and 1985–1995 Toyota Pickup equipped with 4WD and a factory four-speed automatic transmission.

Overview

This WIX kit replaces the in-pan transmission strainer on 1985–1995 Toyota 4Runner and 1985–1995 Toyota Pickup with 4WD and a factory four-speed automatic.

Use this kit when the original strainer is damaged or otherwise needs replacement; a serviceable original strainer need not be replaced merely to reseal the pan. The elongated, flat strainer uses a separate contoured gasket at its mating surface.

Fitment Notes

• The vehicle list covers original U.S.-market factory transmission configurations. Vehicle-year fitment does not establish compatibility with transmission swaps.
• Check the installed transmission. For a 1994–1995 22RE 4Runner or a transmission swap, confirm the installed transmission and strainer before ordering. This kit can fit an A340H when the installed strainer, mounting interface and gaskets match the elongated, flat design. Engine and model year alone do not establish compatibility.
• Does not fit 2WD or manual-transmission applications.
• Not interchangeable with the later raised pickup-tube filter design.
• One new transmission drain-plug gasket is required when the drain plug is opened. It is not included and must be sourced and purchased separately.
• One application-matched filler-tube O-ring is required only when its sealed joint is separated. It is not included and must be sourced and purchased separately.
