Overview

The Project Mu SCR Pure Plus 6 Rear Brake Rotor Set is a performance-oriented replacement for the factory rear disc rotors on Toyota AE86 models equipped with the 4A-GE rear disc brake configuration. Designed primarily for spirited street driving, the SCR Pure Plus 6 combines factory-size fitment with Project Mu's distinctive six-slot rotor design.

Each rotor uses one-piece FC cast-iron construction with six curved slots per braking surface. The curved slot pattern improves pad-surface cleaning and initial braking response while providing a straightforward upgrade over conventional smooth replacement rotors.

The AE86 rear application uses a 231 mm diameter, 10 mm thick solid rotor with the original 4x114.3 mounting configuration. The set includes both rear rotors needed to service the driver and passenger sides.

SCR Pure Plus 6 Rotor Design

The SCR Pure Plus 6 is designed as a street-performance step above a conventional smooth replacement rotor. Rather than using straight slots, each rotor incorporates six curved slots on each braking surface.

The rounded slot design continually sweeps the brake-pad surface as the rotor turns, helping remove brake dust and maintain consistent pad contact. This design also provides a more responsive initial brake application while remaining appropriate for daily-driven and performance street AE86 builds.

Unlike Project Mu's more competition-focused two-piece rotor systems, the SCR Pure Plus 6 retains a straightforward one-piece cast-iron construction, making it well suited to owners who want upgraded braking characteristics without converting away from the factory-style rear brake configuration.
