Overview

The Project Mu SCR Pure Plus 6 Front Brake Rotor Set is a performance-oriented replacement for the factory-size front rotors used across the supported Toyota AE86 applications. This includes the Japanese-market Trueno / Levin, the U.S.-market GT-S, and the 1984–1987 U.S.-market SR5.

Each rotor uses one-piece FC cast-iron construction with a vented design and six curved slots on each braking surface. The AE86 front application measures 234 mm in diameter and 18 mm thick, retaining the factory rotor dimensions while providing a more performance-focused braking surface.

The rotors are heat treated and finished with Project Mu's distinctive green heat-resistant coating for corrosion protection and recognizable appearance.

SCR Pure Plus 6 Rotor Design

The SCR Pure Plus 6 is designed as a street-performance upgrade over a conventional smooth replacement rotor. Its rounded six-slot pattern continually sweeps the brake-pad surface, helping remove brake dust and maintain consistent contact between the pad and rotor.

Compared with a straight-slot design, the curved slots provide greater cleaning action while sharpening initial brake response. The vented construction retains the factory-style AE86 front brake configuration, making these rotors suitable for enthusiasts who want improved braking characteristics without converting to a larger aftermarket brake system.
