Overview

Give your 1989–1995 Toyota Pickup 4WD a taller stance and a suspension package built for daily driving, rough roads and touring. This Old Man Emu 2-inch suspension lift kit combines front torsion bars, Dakar rear leaf springs and four Nitrocharger Plus shocks to improve spring support and control suspension movement.

The rear springs provide approximately 2 inches (50 mm) of lift at their intended load. Front height depends on the torsion-bar setting and your truck’s weight, alignment and available suspension travel. Choose the rear spring load to suit the equipment you carry regularly, so the suspension matches how you use your truck.

Fitment Notes

• 4WD models only. Does not fit 2WD Pickup models or the 1995 Tacoma.
• Raised rear springs, not stock-height replacements. Final height varies with vehicle weight and spring load. Replacing worn or sagging springs can produce a different measured increase from the truck’s current height.
• Front lift is adjustable, not a fixed two-inch increase. The torsion bars retain the factory suspension’s travel and alignment limits; the shocks do not create lift or add suspension travel.
• Heavy Constant Load: Intended for approximately 200 kg (440 lb) carried continuously. This rating does not increase the truck’s rated payload.

Which Rear Spring Load Should You Choose?

Medium Load — Best for Daily Driving Without Permanent Heavy Rear Equipment

Choose Medium Load if your bed is usually lightly loaded and you carry cargo occasionally. It is the more suitable choice when your truck does not carry the continuous weight intended for the Heavy springs; an empty bed can still feel firm.

Heavy (440 lbs Constant Load) — Best for Carrying Permanent Rear Equipment

Choose Heavy when a camper, storage system or other equipment adds approximately 440 lb continuously. Its higher spring rate supports that ongoing weight and can feel firmer or sit higher when the truck is lightly loaded.

Our Recommendation: Choose Medium Load for a truck without permanent heavy rear equipment. Choose Heavy (440 lbs Constant Load) for the corresponding constant-weight setup. Both options use the same front components; choose by normal carried weight rather than seeking more lift.
