Overview
The EXEDY OE Replacement Clutch Kit provides factory-style clutch replacement options for 1984–1988 2nd Gen Toyota Pickup manual-transmission models. Configurations cover the naturally aspirated 2.4L 22R / 22RE, turbocharged 2.4L 22R-TE, and 3.0L 3VZ-E V6.
Toyota used more than one clutch configuration during this generation. Naturally aspirated four-cylinder trucks use a 225 mm clutch, while the 22R-TE Turbo and 3VZ-E V6 applications use a larger 236 mm clutch.
The turbo application also has an important May 1987 / June 1987 production-date change, so 22R-TE owners must select the correct configuration based on the truck's production date.

Choosing the Correct Clutch
The 22R / 22RE Non-Turbo application uses the 225 mm clutch throughout the 1984–1988 generation.
Turbo trucks require additional attention. 22R-TE models produced through May 1987 use the early 236 mm configuration, while trucks produced from June 1987 through 1988 use the later 236 mm configuration.
The 1988 3.0L 3VZ-E V6 also uses a 236 mm clutch but requires its own V6-specific clutch assembly.
