Overview

The CUSCO Type A High-Pressure Radiator Cap is a direct-replacement cooling-system upgrade for Toyota Corolla AE86 applications using the Type A radiator-cap shape. Cooling System Performance

Higher cooling-system pressure increases the temperature at which coolant begins to boil, helping the coolant remain in a liquid state during demanding operating conditions. Maintaining liquid coolant improves heat transfer through the engine and radiator and reduces localized vapor formation.

This cap should only be installed on a cooling system in good condition. A higher-pressure cap can place additional load on aged hoses, clamps, radiator tanks, seals, and other cooling-system components.
