The Cometic Multi-Layer Steel cylinder head gasket is a performance-oriented sealing upgrade for Toyota 22R-series engines. The 0.040-inch gasket uses a three-layer MLS construction with embossed coated outer layers and a stainless-steel center layer to maintain combustion sealing across changing cylinder pressure and temperature.

The head gasket is offered in 93 mm and 95 mm gasket-bore selections. Final selection should be based on the engine's measured finished bore and build configuration rather than vehicle model year alone.
