Overview

This ARP main-bearing-cap stud kit replaces the main-cap bolt arrangement in Toyota 20R, 22R, 22RE and 22R-TE engines. The set covers the original five-cap, two-fastener-per-cap layout.

Heat-treated 8740 chromoly studs, twelve-point nuts and washers provide a stud-and-nut fastening arrangement for a full engine rebuild. Changed clamping load can alter main-bearing bore geometry, so machining may be part of the conversion.

• Does not fit 3VZ-E V6 or L / 2L / 2L-T diesel engines.
• Main-bore size, roundness, cap alignment and thrust clearance determine any required machining. Align honing may be necessary.
• Aftermarket main caps, girdles, altered bearing structures and repaired block threads require build-specific fitment assessment.
