Overview

The ARB High Output On-Board 12V Air Compressor provides a permanently mounted source of compressed air for tire inflation, ARB Air Locker activation, and other on-board air applications. Its compact single-motor design delivers up to 3.08 CFM at 0 PSI while fitting into engine bays, cargo areas, and other suitable vehicle mounting locations.

Designed for off-road, overland, utility, and recreational vehicles with a 12V electrical system, the compressor combines a 100 PSI maximum working pressure, 50% duty cycle, IP55-rated protection, and built-in thermal and over-pressure safeguards.

Installation is universal rather than vehicle-specific. The compressor can be incorporated into classic Toyota builds including 1979–1995 Toyota Pickup and 1984–1995 Toyota 4Runner, but mounting location and bracket requirements depend on the individual vehicle and existing modifications.

Compressor Design

The compressor uses a hard-anodized cylinder bore and Teflon-impregnated carbon-fiber piston seal to reduce friction and support long-term operation.

Its anodized mounting bracket helps dissipate motor heat and allows the compressor to be repositioned through approximately 180 degrees to accommodate different installation layouts. The motor is internally protected against excessive temperature, while an over-pressure safety valve and heavy-duty fused electrical system provide additional operating protection.

The sealed construction provides resistance to moisture and dust, making the compressor suitable for properly installed under-hood or protected in-cabin applications.

For tire inflation, an appropriate air hose, coupling, and tire inflation accessories are required.
