Overview

This AISIN 190°F thermostat is a direct cooling-system service replacement for Toyota R-series four-cylinder applications. Its 88°C start-to-open temperature matches the standard-temperature thermostat specification used across the listed 22R, 22RE, and 22R-TE applications.

The standard mechanical design includes a jiggle-pin check valve to support air bleeding during cooling-system service. Matching AISIN thermostat gaskets are available as optional configurations, with the correct gasket selected by production range.

• 1982 Toyota Pickup: gasket selection changes at the 08/1982 production break. Check the vehicle production date before selecting a gasket-equipped configuration.
