Overview

This AISIN thermostat uses an 82°C / 180°F opening temperature in the original cooling systems of the 1983–1987 Toyota Corolla AE86. Its conventional wax-pellet valve regulates coolant circulation as the engine warms up, retaining the factory opening temperature rather than converting to a low-temperature thermostat.

The with-gasket option pairs the AISIN thermostat with a KP flat thermostat housing gasket for the AE86. This housing gasket differs from the thermostat ring used by AW11 MR2 and AE92 Corolla applications.

Fitment Notes

• One new thermostat housing gasket is required for installation. Choose the with-gasket option or supply the correct AE86 housing gasket separately when purchasing Thermostat Only.
