14mm vs. 16mm Sway Bar Sizing

The bushing must match the outside diameter of the rear sway bar. A bushing that is too large will not properly secure the bar, while a bushing that is too small may not install correctly or can place excessive stress on the bushing and mounting bracket.

Use digital or vernier calipers to measure a clean, straight section of the rear sway bar. Avoid measuring over bends, heavy paint, corrosion, damaged areas, or other irregular surfaces.

Choose the 14mm option for a 14mm rear sway bar and the 16mm option for a 16mm rear sway bar.

Do not determine bushing size from vehicle trim alone. Previous suspension repairs, sway bar swaps, and aftermarket upgrades may have changed the bar installed on the vehicle.
