The ACL Race Series Standard-Size Main Bearing Set is a performance engine-bearing set for Toyota 1.6L 4A-GE and 4A-GZE builds using standard-diameter crankshaft journals. The set supports the crankshaft across all five main-journal positions and is intended for performance rebuilds where consistent clearances, bearing retention, and durability at elevated engine speeds are priorities.

Race Series construction combines a high-tensile steel backing with a copper-lead-tin lining, nickel barrier, and lead-tin-copper overlay. ACL's extended main-bearing groove design supports oil delivery while preserving bearing surface area, and increased eccentricity helps the bearing adapt to housing distortion during high-speed operation.

This bearing set is for standard-size crankshaft journals only. Crankshaft journal diameter and assembled oil clearance must be measured during engine assembly.

Race Series Bearing Construction

ACL Race Series bearings use a multi-layer construction built for high-load engine applications. The bearing structure uses SAE1010 high-tensile steel backing, a copper-lead-tin lining, a nickel separation layer, and a lead-tin-copper overlay.

The Race Series design does not use a cosmetic silver tin flash. New bearings can show a dark tarnished appearance that may vary between black, brown, and blue tones; this is normal for the Race Series overlay and does not indicate a used or damaged bearing.
