Overview
The Total Chaos Weld-On Front Frame Truss is a vehicle-specific chassis reinforcement designed for 1986–1995 Toyota 4Runner 4WD models equipped with independent front suspension. It reinforces the front frame between the rear lower control arm pivot points, an area subjected to substantial loading during hard off-road use and harsh suspension bottom-outs.
Constructed from 4130 chromoly steel, the truss ties the lower control arm pivot area together to help resist frame spread and maintain proper suspension mounting geometry.
Two vehicle-specific versions are offered: 1986–1989 and 1990–1995. Select the configuration that matches the vehicle's model year.

Frame Reinforcement
The rear lower A-arm pivot area carries significant suspension and vehicle loads. During aggressive off-road driving or severe bottom-outs, these loads can place additional stress on the frame around the control arm mounting points.
The weld-on truss spans the rear lower control arm pivots to strengthen this section of the chassis and reduce the potential for the pivot points to spread apart under heavy loading.
