Overview
The Total Chaos 1-Inch Stainless Steel Uniball Replacement Kit provides the wear components needed to service Total Chaos upper or lower control arms equipped with 1-inch uniballs on Toyota 4WD applications.
Uniballs are serviceable suspension wear components. As the internal PTFE liner deteriorates from suspension movement and exposure to dirt, moisture, and vibration, excessive play, noise, or reduced steering precision can develop. Replacing worn uniballs helps restore proper control-arm articulation and suspension movement.
Each uniball features a heat-treated stainless steel ball and race with a woven PTFE liner for low-friction movement, corrosion resistance, and durability. Two replacement uniballs and snap rings are included to service one pair of Total Chaos control arms.

Uniball Service & Replacement
The uniball provides the articulated pivot connection used in Total Chaos performance control arms. Its PTFE liner allows the bearing to move smoothly while controlling unwanted play at the suspension mounting point.
Wear should be checked periodically, particularly on vehicles exposed to frequent off-road use, high suspension loads, dirt, and moisture. Excessive movement, increased suspension noise, reduced steering precision, or visible liner deterioration can indicate that replacement is required.
Replacing the bearing before excessive wear develops helps maintain proper suspension articulation and steering response.
