Overview
The Total Chaos Lower Ball Joint Uniball Conversion Kit replaces the factory lower ball joints on 1986–1995 Toyota 4Runner and Pickup 4WD suspension systems that retain the factory spindle geometry.
Designed for demanding off-road use, the conversion replaces the factory ball-joint connection with 1-inch stainless steel uniballs and CNC-machined 4130 chromoly billet adapters. The upgraded joint provides increased strength and articulation while retaining the original spindle mounting arrangement.
This system is well suited for vehicles subjected to aggressive terrain, larger tires, and upgraded suspension components where additional strength at the lower spindle connection is desired.

Uniball Conversion Design
The conversion replaces the factory lower ball joint with a high-strength spherical uniball assembly designed to withstand increased suspension loads and articulation.
Each adapter is CNC machined from 4130 chromoly billet and bolts to the factory spindle location. The 1-inch stainless steel uniballs use a PTFE liner to promote smooth movement while reducing noise, and the supplied high-misalignment spacers allow the joint to articulate through the required suspension range.
Because the system retains the factory spindle configuration, it can also be used with aftermarket suspension systems designed around the original Toyota spindle geometry.
