Overview
The Total Chaos Caddy Heavy-Duty Idler Arm is an upgraded steering assembly designed to replace the wear-prone factory idler arm on 1986–1995 Toyota 4WD Pickups and 4Runners.
Factory idler arms can develop excessive play as their internal components wear, a problem that becomes more noticeable on off-road trucks and vehicles running larger tires. The Caddy Idler Arm replaces the factory assembly with a reinforced, fully rebuildable design using double-stacked sealed roller bearings for improved steering stability and response.
The assembly features heavy-duty chromoly construction, precision laser-cut mounting brackets, and a durable black Cerakote finish. It installs at the factory idler-arm location and does not require a long-travel suspension system or relocation bracket.

Reinforced Bearing Design
The factory idler arm can loosen as its internal components wear, introducing unwanted movement into the steering linkage. The Caddy assembly replaces the wear-prone factory design with a double-stacked sealed roller-bearing system built to better withstand steering loads, off-road impacts, and repeated use.
The assembly is also fully rebuildable, allowing its internal wear components to be serviced rather than requiring replacement of the entire idler arm.
