Worried about theft or tampering with your vintage ride? SOLEX Safety Locks are a period-correct upgrade designed for classic vehicles from the ’80s, ’90s, and 2000s, combining authentic rad styling with modern security.

Unlike standard locks, SOLEX locks mechanically secure the internal rod, preventing thieves from using a “slim jim” to manipulate it. This design physically holds the lock rod in place when locked, effectively blocking one of the most common bypass methods.

SOLEX locks also offer superior protection against skeleton keys and other forced-entry attempts. The advanced double-layer security system provides even greater peace of mind. When the outer layer is locked, an inner mechanism automatically engages, and only genuine SOLEX keys can operate it. Note: SOLEX Locks are designed to fit universally into any flat-surfaced lock cylinder hole, as each kit includes multiple fitting options. However, if the lock cylinder hole is recessed, such as on the gas cap of a 1984–1989 Toyota 4Runner, minor sanding may be required to the black plastic surround trim for a flush fit, since the SOLEX lock face is slightly larger in diameter than the OEM unit. These locks are intended for mechanical applications only and may not be compatible with electronic or power-operated locking systems.
