Overview
The Reproduction Rear Window Control Module Relay is a plug-and-play replacement for the factory rear window control module used in 1984–1989 1st Gen Toyota 4Runners.
A failing original module can cause intermittent rear window operation or complete loss of power-window function. This reproduction circuit replaces the aging factory electronics with modern components while retaining important electrical protections for the rear window system.
The module also adds three configurable DIP-switch functions that allow the rear window controls to operate differently from the original factory configuration without requiring permanent wiring modifications.

Configurable DIP Switch Functions
The module includes three onboard DIP switches that allow the rear window system to be customized.
DIP Switch 1
- Enables rear window down operation from the front center-console switch with the vehicle turned off
DIP Switch 2
- Enables rear window up operation from the front center-console switch with the vehicle turned off
DIP Switch 3
- Bypasses the rear window wiper safety interlock
These settings allow additional control functionality while retaining the module's built-in electrical protections.
