Overview
The Prothane Polyurethane Rear Sway Bar & End Link Bushing Kit replaces worn factory rubber sway bar mounting and end-link bushings on 1990–1995 2nd Gen Toyota 4Runner 4WD models equipped with an 18mm rear sway bar.
The firmer polyurethane bushings help reduce unwanted movement between the rear sway bar, chassis mounts, and end links, allowing the sway bar to operate more consistently during cornering and directional changes. Polyurethane also provides increased resistance to deterioration from age, weather, road grime, and automotive fluids compared with conventional rubber bushings.
Because correct fitment depends on sway bar diameter, physically measure the installed rear sway bar before ordering.

Choosing the Correct Sway Bar Size
This kit is designed specifically for an 18mm rear sway bar. The frame bushings must closely match the bar diameter to properly locate the sway bar without excessive clearance or binding.
Digital or vernier calipers provide the most accurate measurement. An 18mm open-end wrench can also be used as a quick check on a clean, straight section of the bar, but calipers are recommended if the fit is uncertain.
Do not measure over heavy rust, thick paint, a bend, sleeve, or damaged section of the sway bar.
