Overview
The Prothane Front Sway Bar Bushing & End Link Kit replaces worn factory rubber sway bar mounting and end-link bushings on 1989–1995 3rd Gen Toyota Pickup 4WD models. Two configurations are available for trucks equipped with a 24mm or 27mm front sway bar.
Polyurethane provides a firmer connection between the sway bar, chassis, and end links, helping reduce unwanted bushing deflection and maintain more consistent sway bar operation. It also offers increased resistance to deterioration from age, weather, road grime, and automotive fluids compared with conventional rubber bushings.
Both sway bar diameters are used within the same vehicle application range, so physically measure the installed front sway bar before ordering rather than selecting by engine, trim, or model year alone.

Choosing the Correct Sway Bar Size
The 24mm and 27mm configurations are not interchangeable. The frame bushings must closely match the actual sway bar diameter to properly locate the bar without excessive clearance or binding.
24mm Front Sway Bar
- Approximately 0.94 inch / 15/16 inch
27mm Front Sway Bar
- Approximately 1.06 inch / 1-1/16 inch
Digital calipers provide the most accurate measurement. A 24mm open-end wrench can also be used as a quick screening method on an unmodified factory bar: if it fits snugly over the bar, the bar is approximately 24mm. If it will not fit, measure the bar directly to confirm the 27mm configuration before ordering.
