Overview
The Longfield 30-Spline Birfield & Axle Kit is a heavy-duty front axle upgrade for Toyota-style solid front axle applications. The kit replaces the factory-style 27-spline birfield and axle arrangement with 30-spline Longfield birfields and 4340 chromoly axle shafts.
The birfield housings are forged from 4340 chromoly steel, while the internal components are heat-treated for increased strength. Precision-polished birfields help reduce imperfections that can create stress risers under high loads.
The kit fits factory solid-axle Toyota trucks through 1985 and can also be used on 1986–1995 Pickup and 4Runner solid axle conversions using the appropriate Toyota-style solid front axle housing. Standard, +3-inch, and +5-inch configurations support factory-width and widened axle builds.

The 30-Spline Birfield & Axle Kit is the more affordable Longfield option for Toyota-style solid front axle builds using the factory-style 27-spline birfield and axle arrangement. It uses 4340 chromoly axle shafts and single heat-treated 30-spline birfields.
The Gun-Drilled Super Set adds dual heat-treated birfield internals, gun-drilled grease passages, M8 grease fittings, Machined Spline Savers, chromoly hub gears, Creeper Drive Flanges, and a lifetime warranty. It is better suited to customers looking for the more comprehensive Longfield front axle package.
