DFC OE Front Brake Rotor 2WD 1/2-Ton & 3/4-Ton

For 1989–1995 Toyota Pickup RWD / 2WD – 1/2-Ton & 3/4-Ton Models

Overview

The Dynamic Friction Company (DFC) Premium OE Front Brake Rotor is a direct-fit replacement for 1989–1995 Toyota Pickup RWD / 2WD 1/2-ton and 3/4-ton front brake applications.

Toyota used two different front brake systems across these trucks. The correct rotor is determined by the existing front caliper type: the 17S / FS17 system uses an approximately 248 mm rotor, while the F18 / F-18Q system uses an approximately 253 mm rotor.

Before ordering, check the casting identification on the existing front caliper. If the marking cannot be located or read, measure the outside diameter of the existing rotor to determine the correct brake system.

Key Features

  • Direct-fit front brake rotor for 1989–1995 Toyota Pickup RWD / 2WD
  • Fits 1/2-ton and 3/4-ton applications
  • Two factory-style front brake configurations
  • 248 mm rotor for 17S / FS17 brake systems
  • 253 mm rotor for F18 / F-18Q brake systems
  • Approximately 22 mm new rotor thickness
  • G3000/G11H18 cast iron construction
  • CNC-machined braking surfaces
  • Non-directional surface finish
  • Available individually or as a pair

How to Identify Your Front Brake Type

248 mm / 17S–FS17 Brake System

Select this option when the existing front caliper is marked:

  • 17S
  • FS17

This brake system uses an approximately 248 mm outside diameter front rotor.

253 mm / F18–F-18Q Brake System

Select this option when the existing front caliper is marked:

  • F18
  • F-18Q

This brake system uses an approximately 253 mm outside diameter front rotor.

Caliper identification is the preferred selection method. If the casting identification cannot be confirmed, measure the outside diameter of the existing front rotor.

Both brake systems use approximately 22 mm new rotor thickness, so rotor thickness should not be used to distinguish between them.

Vehicle Fitment

Toyota Pickup

  • 1989–1995 Toyota Pickup – 3rd Gen – RWD / 2WD – 1/2-Ton & 3/4-Ton – Front – 248 mm / 17S–FS17 Brake System
  • 1989–1995 Toyota Pickup – 3rd Gen – RWD / 2WD – 1/2-Ton & 3/4-Ton – Front – 253 mm / F18–F-18Q Brake System

Fitment Notes

  • Front application only
  • RWD / 2WD models only
  • Fits 1/2-ton and 3/4-ton Toyota Pickup applications
  • Does not fit 4WD Toyota Pickup models
  • Two different front brake systems are used
  • Do not select the rotor by Base, DLX, or SR5 trim alone
  • Verify the existing front caliper casting before ordering
  • 17S / FS17 = approximately 248 mm rotor
  • F18 / F-18Q = approximately 253 mm rotor
  • Rotor outside diameter can be used when the caliper marking cannot be identified
  • Both versions are approximately 22 mm thick when new
  • Does not replace 1-ton-specific front brake applications
  • Available individually or as a pair
  • Select a pair when replacing both front brake rotors
