Overview
The CUSCO D1 7-Point Roll Cage is a vehicle-specific chromoly cage for left-hand-drive Toyota Corolla Sport SR5 and GT-S AE86 models. Its 7-point layout provides extensive interior chassis reinforcement for performance, drift, circuit, and track-oriented builds.
The D1 design uses 40 mm OD chromoly tubing with a 1.6 mm wall thickness and CUSCO's Blue Metallic finish. Compared with CUSCO's conventional steel roll-cage construction, the chromoly design is approximately 33% lighter.
This configuration uses an around-dashboard / dash-escape front layout, straight rear side bars, and a 2-passenger configuration. It is specifically designed for LHD, non-sunroof AE86 models.

D1 Chromoly & Dash-Escape Design
The D1 chromoly construction reduces cage weight compared with CUSCO's conventional steel design while maintaining a comprehensive multi-point chassis structure.
Its dash-escape layout routes the front cage legs around the dashboard rather than requiring a through-dashboard configuration. The straight rear side bars extend through the rear passenger area, making this configuration intended for front occupants only.
