The Big7Kits Big 7 Battery Cable Kit is a complete battery cable and primary electrical wiring upgrade for 1988–1995 Toyota 4Runner and Pickup models equipped with the 3.0L 3VZ-E V6.
Designed to replace aging factory power and ground cables, the Big 7 system increases current-carrying capacity throughout the starting, charging, and grounding circuits. This helps reduce resistance and voltage drop caused by old or corroded wiring while providing a stronger electrical foundation for both stock vehicles and trucks equipped with higher-demand accessories.
The kit uses 100% fine-strand SAE-rated copper cable, solid-copper terminals, electromechanically crimped connections, marine-grade heat shrink, corrosion-resistant battery terminals, and labeled cable ends for a clean vehicle-specific installation.

Big 7 Electrical Upgrade
The Big 7 system goes beyond a traditional Big 3 wiring upgrade by addressing additional high-current circuits throughout the vehicle.
The system upgrades the primary:
- Alternator output circuit
- Battery-to-ground circuit
- Engine ground circuit
- Starter power circuit
- Fuse and relay power connections
- Main power distribution wiring
- Fused high-current connection
An external fuse and fuse holder are included to protect the upgraded charging circuit.
2 AWG vs. 1/0 AWG
2 AWG
Best suited to stock and mildly modified vehicles using a factory-style electrical system. It provides substantially increased current capacity without the additional size of 1/0 cable.
1/0 AWG
Best suited to vehicles with higher electrical demands or planned upgrades such as winches, auxiliary lighting, audio systems, power inverters, compressors, and other high-current accessories.
A larger alternator is not required simply to install either cable size.
