Overview
The ARB Old Man Emu Heavy-Duty Front Torsion Bars are a vehicle-specific suspension upgrade for 1986–1995 Toyota 4Runner and Toyota Pickup 4WD models equipped with Independent Front Suspension (IFS).
Designed to provide increased front spring support and improved ride-height control, these torsion bars are well suited to trucks carrying additional front-end weight from steel bumpers, winches, skid plates, recovery equipment, and other accessories.
The bars can be used at factory ride height or adjusted for approximately 2 inches of front lift as part of a properly configured suspension system. Their increased spring rate helps maintain suspension control and support under added vehicle weight.

Stock Height & Lift Compatibility
The OME torsion bars can be installed as a heavy-duty replacement at factory ride height or adjusted through the factory torsion bar system to provide approximately 2 inches of front lift.
Ride height should be set with adequate suspension travel and proper front-end alignment. The amount of adjustment should also account for vehicle weight, front accessories, and the overall suspension setup.
These torsion bars are particularly useful on vehicles carrying constant additional front weight such as:

Side-Specific Installation
Old Man Emu torsion bars are side-specific and must be installed in their designated positions.
