Overview
The ARB Old Man Emu Nitrocharger Plus Rear Shock Absorber is a vehicle-specific rear suspension upgrade for 1984–1995 Toyota Pickup 4WD models.
Designed for stock ride height through approximately 2 inches of rear lift, the Nitrocharger Plus combines application-specific damping with a heavy-duty twin-tube, nitrogen gas-charged design. It provides controlled rear suspension performance for daily driving, towing, hauling, overlanding, rough roads, and off-road use.
Medium Load and Heavy Load valving options allow the shock to be matched more closely to the Pickup's normal operating weight and permanently installed equipment.

Nitrocharger Plus Design
The Nitrocharger Plus uses a durable twin-tube steel shock body designed to protect critical internal components during demanding road and trail use.
Its nitrogen gas charge, high-flow piston, and multi-disc compression valving provide consistent damping as the rear suspension cycles through changing terrain and vehicle loads. This makes the shock well suited to Toyota Pickups used for mixed daily driving, hauling, towing, overlanding, and off-road travel.
Stock Height & Lift Compatibility
The Nitrocharger Plus supports factory rear ride height through approximately 2 inches of rear lift.
The shock absorber itself does not lift the vehicle. Rear ride height is determined by the leaf springs and overall suspension configuration.
When paired with appropriately configured Old Man Emu rear leaf springs, these shocks can be incorporated into a complete mild-lift suspension system.

Old Man Emu Nitrocharger Plus
Better suited for Pickups that frequently see off-road use, rough roads, towing, hauling, or additional permanent vehicle weight from bumpers, storage systems, camping equipment, and other accessories. It is also a natural choice when building a complete Old Man Emu suspension system.
For a mostly stock-height daily driver, the Bilstein B6 4600 is generally the better starting point. For heavier builds, frequent off-road use, or an OME suspension setup, choose the Old Man Emu Nitrocharger Plus.
