The 1st Gen 4Runner and 2nd Gen Pickup can be accessed quickly, especially when equipped with soft tops or removable rear sections. The factory glovebox offers little protection and can be pulled out with minimal effort.
This locking glovebox safe insert is a discreet, vehicle-specific security upgrade designed to fit inside the original glovebox opening while dramatically improving theft resistance. Constructed from heavy-gauge steel and anchored to the dash structure, it provides a secure location for valuables without altering the vehicle’s factory appearance.

Unlike the OEM glovebox, which is lightly fastened to the dash, this insert is secured using a heavy-duty steel cable that loops around the solid steel crossbar behind the dashboard. Even if the factory glovebox is forcibly removed, the insert remains tethered inside the vehicle.
