Overview
The EXEDY Racing Stage 2 Cerametallic Clutch Kit is a performance clutch upgrade for Toyota AE86 rear-wheel-drive manual transmission applications, including the Japanese-market Corolla Levin and Sprinter Trueno 4A-GE as well as North American Corolla Sport SR5 4A-C and GT-S 4A-GE models.
It combines a high-clamp Sport Series pressure plate with a 200 mm thick cerametallic 3-puck clutch disc for increased torque capacity, heat resistance, and durability compared with a conventional stock-type clutch.
The thick-disc construction provides greater thermal capacity for demanding street, drift, rally, autocross, and track use, while the sprung center hub helps absorb drivetrain shock during engagement. The pressure plate provides a 1,212 lb clamp load, and the clutch is rated for 157 ft-lb of torque at the wheels.

Stage 2 Cerametallic Thick-Disc Design
The cerametallic friction material is designed to tolerate substantially greater heat and clutch loading than a conventional stock-type organic friction disc.
Its thick-disc construction provides increased thermal capacity and durability during repeated aggressive engagement, making it particularly well suited to modified street cars, drifting, autocross, rally, and track-driven AE86 builds.
The 3-puck design reduces rotating inertia compared with a conventional full-face clutch disc, while the sprung center hub helps cushion impact loads transmitted through the T50 transmission and drivetrain.
