Overview
The Sliding Ashtray Cupholder adds modern drink storage to the factory ashtray location in 1984–1988 Toyota Pickups and 1984–1989 1st Gen Toyota 4Runners. The compact design slides directly into the original ashtray opening, maintaining a clean, factory-inspired dashboard appearance without requiring permanent interior modification.
Constructed from heat- and UV-resistant ASA plastic, the cupholder is designed for automotive interior use and features a 2.8-inch cup opening with a magnetic fold-down lower support for improved drink stability. Choose from three colors and either a blank or embossed CUPHOLDER front plate.

High-Temperature ASA Construction
The cupholder is manufactured from ASA plastic, a material well suited to automotive interiors because of its resistance to heat, UV exposure, warping, and sagging.
The main sliding assembly is intentionally produced in light gray to help minimize the appearance of wear marks caused by repeated sliding contact. The visible color components are available in Black, Dark Gray, or Brown to coordinate with the vehicle interior.

Fitment Notes
- Designed for vehicles equipped with the factory ashtray opening and surrounding interior configuration
- Compatible with factory manual and automatic shifters
- Excessively worn shifter bushings may allow additional shifter movement and cause clearance issues
- Aftermarket shifters may have different clearance requirements
- No permanent modification is required for normal operation
- For the most flush installation, trimming approximately 1/4 inch from the factory metal ashtray retaining bracket is recommended
- The retaining-bracket modification is optional
- Cupholder remains functional without trimming
- Factory ashtray functionality is unaffected by the optional bracket modification
